I just watched Clark Hunts message to the fans and it is clear to me that he was just give Herm Credit for well doing nothing. Agin all you bascily heard was WE HAVE A PLAN. This means we can look foward to becomeing the Dolphins in the next few years. I just hope that Clark is just putting this on as a public face. and that if the Chiefs go anther season like this Clark gives both Carl and Herm the boot. PLEASE CLARK WAKE UP AND SEE THE NFL FOR WHAT IT IS NOW NOT WHAT IT WAS 15 YEARS AGO

Yeah buddy. I just checked out the podcast of 810's Soren Petro interview with Hunt. It did not leave me confident at all. Just more of the same chiefsspeak we have been accustomed to the last thirty years. He would not even hint of either Herm or Carl's job being on the line. The talk about ticket prices and 'rescaling' had me cracking up. They cannot even bring themselves to say "increase" when talking about ticket prices. I know from listening to local sports radio at the end of this abysmal season that many people expected/wanted a fired up Clark Hunt to come out and lay down the law about this franchise. I never once thought this guy or his dad would ever stand up and tell the management; "win or find new jobs." I have seen or heard nothing with these two radio spots that would make me think otherwise. In my honest opinion all I have heard is that the team got old(the latest excuse, catch phrase, blame Vermeil etc.)and these two geniuses are going to fix it. I'm telling you guys, I seriously doubt that I will even watch the games next year. I have been a Chiefs fan all my life. I can still remember them winning the Superbowl when I was a little boy. Even through the dark years of the late 70's/80's I still had the optimism of youth. Not anymore. I have no confidence in this manager and especially the head coach. Just a mediocre tandem that knows enough to compete at a moderate level but will likely never get within a sniff of a conference championship. Let alone an NFL championship. I wonder how it is that an owner whose team plays in a conference that has a championship trophy bearing his Dad's name can sound so unenthusiastic and uninspiring? Sorry. I am not trying to take personal shots at Clark Hunt. The man just does not instill confidence in this soon to be former fan.

after reading the clark hunt interview by jason whitlock in todays paper... i am beyond disgusted. hunt says that the only way there would be changes after next season is if the team regresses... how do you regress from having the worst offense in the league?!?!?! a chimpanzee throwing darts at a poster could call better plays, which would result in a better offense! and the main thing that really really sets me off was this quote "I fully anticipate mister edwards being with our organization for a long long time". BOM BOM BOM! does that sound ominous, or is it just me? its like "invasion of the owner snatchers" somewhere, somehow, someone stole the chiefs team that we all grew to love and replaced it with this running joke. and the only person who can fix it, just told all the fans that he won't... another gut punch to the kc fans! still more ticket increases... 4 club level seats that cost $44oo this year will cost $11,000 in 5 years. oh, by the way, the chiefs are asking people to sign a contract for 3 or 5 years or lose their tickets... extortion anyone?

But, but, but Shakit...they have a plan!  Don't you realise that? C'mon. Be considered one of the true Chefs fans. Don't complain. Don't boycott. Don't verbally protest on talk radio. In all honesty, this whole shebang does not surprise me. I have said it consistently since this whole thing started two years ago. I believe they are an out of touch management who will not change till the owner is in jeopardy of losing tens of millions of dollars to empty seats. I am being completely honest when I say I think the owner/management BELIEVES they are just a few speeches to the fans and free agents/draft picks away from a gloriously triumphant season and adoring fans. I am here to tell them that the C.P. phase of the Chiefs "glory" years are OVER. At least as far as fans are concerned. This franchise is two or three embarrassing losses away from only 20K people being in the stands. They have given and given in support and ticket/parking DOLLARS for twenty years. They are in no mood to spend another ten in some cockamamie rebuilding scheme that focuses on one side of the ball. Which, as far as I can tell, is exactly where we are headed. If what you are reporting is anywhere near accurate, there will be a fan REVOLT in the making. Still, nothing from this bunch surprises me.
