Good lord. Why can't people just come to the conclusion that a MAJOR mistake was made in keeping CP and letting him hire HE? I have been listening to radio and watching online forums since Sunday. What gives? NO ONE will just say what needs to be said; this coach is a disaster and the team owner is burying his head in the sand about it. I have heard a bunch of fans saying Thigpen should just go ahead and start since we "are going young".  I hear a commentator this morning say how upset Minnesota was that we grabbed Thigpen from their practice roster? Practice roster?!!! Oh boy, I suppose next we'll hear about how silly it was to let go of Medlock the kicker last year and that some smart team is just sitting back waiting to grab this guy up from whatever discount store he is working at now. Before anyone catches on to what a bargain he is. It is just plain sad. We have been reduced to this moronic, grasp at all straws mentality in some bizarre search for sensibility. Face it. We have a worn out, out of date front office, a totally inept coaching staff, and a fan base that is about two more bad losses from just flat giving up on the team. Notice to Clark Hunt; WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE? 15,000 fans at Arrowhead and blackouts? I have said it before and I say once again; Herm has LOST this team. They sense and know at some level the guy is full of it. Just listen to his dog and pony show yesterday. He may be giving away the gameplan? Guess what genius? Everyone in the league knows the game plan. Run up the middle and we just goin' go get em. I am not kidding when I say I don't know if I can or will watch another game this year. I am going to say something I NEVER thought I'd ever hear myself say. I hope we go 0-16. If for no other reason than to just hammer home how inept this franchise is. Can you imagine it? I am saying that I want Denver to go 2-0 againts us. Freakin' Denver! I am just so completely disenfranchised with this so called coach. I hate it that I knew it when the talk started about hiring him in the first place. More cronyism. Sorry to vent so much guys but after hearing what passed for a press conference yesterday, and I only heard snippets of it, I am at an all time low about the Chefs. Total incompetence.

I could devise and run a six play offense that would be more effective than what we are running now. Yes, you heard me, six plays.
1) HB Draw (one play, four different holes to call)
2) Option
3) Screen pass
4) Slants

5) Reverse
6) Quick ins/outs

* Plays in red will be the core offensive arsenal.
** All passing plays may be altered with play action.

I MIGHT consider a counter trap to toy with the defense and see what kind of depth we have at TE/Flanker.

When the run is not working, and the deep passing game is not working, you switch to a west coast style quick passing game. We HAVE the receiving and RB core to make this work. We just need an OC that is willing to tell Herm where to shove it and just DO IT!

Better still, I will POST the offensive play book on the internet for the opposition to view and we will STILL out perform our current O.

First Phog let me say that I am with you in regards to alot of what you say. I however can not stop HOPEING that this team turns out allright. I no i am Not going to get what i am hopeing for but I can't help it. I can't bring myself to not watch the games. While I no longer buy any chiefs gear or jerseys I can't stop watching i end up torturing myself every sunday watching. All i can do is hope that Clark Hunt is not as laid back with this team as he appears to be and gets rid of the problems as soon as BEFORE THE SEASON IS OVER.  Hope is all i have right now and i don't even no why  Huh

That one made me chuckle, which is appreciated. I have found only despair in all things Chiefs since Herm arrived. I wish I were smart enough to think of something more to do to help speed Herm's departure (and CP's) ... It may take a player revolt to get Clarke's attention, cause he obviously does not care about the fans.

That's exactly the problem, Hunt doesn't care about the fans. I love the Chiefs, and hate to not watch them (as you've said) but I can't bare to anymore. The best thing we can hope for is that more fans like us just stop attending the games. That, or losing out like the Dolphins of last season, will be the only way we can get rid of this terrible front office we have. The Hunt family only wants our paycheck, maybe if we can all ban together in this boycott they'll start to listen.

Phog, how good it is to hear from another fan that has seen the light. I know it's hard to give up on the team we all love, but the truth is they gave up on us fans years ago. As long as they keep packing Arrowhead and making money off us they have absolutely no reason to put a competitive team on the field. Herm was a loser when he arrived and has only gotten worse. I quit watching them last year and believe me my stress level dropped significantly. Now I watch real football like Dallas vs Philly. What a game! There is no reason we can't have that here except for our inept front office. You are right, Carl must go too. Anyway, just wanted to welcome you to the "We love the Chief too, but things have to change" club. And until they do, we will boycott them.
